So have you had the boat out since the repair? Does the temp stay on the 160* range?

Before we bought our Sea Ray, we almost bought a 21' 1994 Chris Craft Concept BR from someone who lives on LKN. Nice boat, good price, but we were just a little too late, and I mean by an hour or 2. Actually the owner called us back, because he saw a Sea Ray for sale, and thought we should look at it. We did, and we bought it!

Yep, had her out twice and guage never goes above 150, runs right where my old boat did and works like new

Thanks for all the help, basically have a brand new boat now and am very happy, now if the weather would just cooperate

As for the bubble there was a leak in a gasket in the drive, i cant describe it exactly but it is where there is a plate back there and there were impeller pieces lodges in there that opened up a leak so when the boat got on plane that areas of the drive was above the water line and it caused it to suck air instead of just water

Not sure how impeller pieces got back that way and affected that gasket's sealing, but glad they found that leak for you. An air leak like that is almost always the reason on those drives for an overheat that only shows up while on plane and then cools down immediately when you drop off plane and the drive submerges.
