starboard view 2.jpgugly seats.jpgI'm looking for suggestions of inexpensive seats for my 1967 Starcraft,18' Holiday. I looked at a couple Cabella high back folding seats in my price range but though I would ask what other people may have put in and how they like them.
I would like to stay in the $300 price range for a pair. What's the best type of pedistels ect.?
The seats that are in it are huge and ugly as heck. (They are pretty darn comfortable though)

You should look in the Starcraft restoration section to see what others have done.

I used Swivel-eze 238 series base and pedestal.

They are the most solid of the ones I have used.

THe one piece fixed height units do not require cutting a hole in the floor.

Can't recommend any inexpensive seats. Have tried a bunch in the $50-120 range, uncomfortable after 15 minutes. Butt sore after an hour.

Base, pedestal, swivel, and comfortable seat cost me $500 for the pair. Can sit in them all day.

I can recommend Alumacraft and Attwood Centric seats. They are $200 per seat.

I'd also recommend LOW back seats.

All good suggestions. I'm still trying to find my way around this site. (Starcraft restoration section) I have to get the boat in the water and see how much I like it before I spend to much money on it. My wife is laughing, knowing that spending too much is a givin.LOL!
Hmmm, I was hoping to reply to all of you who responded to my thread but it only let me reply with a quote to one message. Anyways, thanks to all!

I have these in my boat and they are pretty comfortable. I wouldn't want to be sitting them all day long as they are kind of firm, but they are comfortable bouncing around in snotty conditions, due to the firmness of the seat.

Was just looking at that exact seat at Cabellas and thought they might be to hard. There is another one, few bucks more that looks like it may be softer.
