Hi, I have a 19' commander its an open boat center console type. I have pedastle seats the 4 seats in the front have posts that go into a locking hole that keeps them secure. My problem is the 10 or 12 screws that hold in the base are always workin their way out so im constantly tightening them is there a secret to keeping them screwed in tightly its becomeing a nuisance any advice would be appreciated ty Jim

Re: boat seats

A little 3m 4200 on the threads, Its worked well for me with deck hardware that kept coming loose on my boat.

You can use some RTV Silicone too - the nice thing about RTV (unlike 5200) is you can get the screws out if you ever need to.

"Gorilla Glue" (from Lowes/ Home Depot, or any hdwre. store) works well, and is waterproof & sandable (be careful not to get on carpet & use just a small amount, because it expands as it dries-like a foam). Also J-B Weld does a good job too!
