Boat shop worked on wiring and left stator wires unhooked, where do they go?

A boat shop worked on my91 40 horse johnson kinda last week and called me and said "it needs a wiring harness and it will cost you more than the motor is worth to fix." They advised me to come get it cause they did not want to waste my money. I drive 60 miles home and pull the engine cover to find three wires from the stator disconected and two wires from some other electrical device disconnected. I am wanting to do some testing but need to know where these wires go. Here are some pics.

The 3 stator wires go to the rectifier, the 3 wires connect at the termial board, just match the colors. The red wire from the rectifier may be in the wrong place, can`t see all of the wires and colors. The large red wire going to the tilt trim probley shorted to block. I would not connect the stator until the all wires repaired

Where is the rectifier and is the block with all the wires going to the screws called the terminal board?

If the engine has good compression, a wiring harness is alot cheaper than buying a new or used engine.

Buy a service manual for it and fix it your self, iBoat members will help you along the way.

I would stay clear of "The Boat Shop".

Where does the red wire from the rectifier go. I have everything connected now. Does this red wire go to the front terminal on the junction block to charge my battery. It is reading about 14 volts whe the engine is running.

The rectifer and termial strip is shown in your photo. Rectifer has 3 yellow and 1 red wires. I did not post wireing diagram, because you said you were color blind.
