Lake Hopatcong has its share of problem boaters. Between watching out for the jet ski's, rocks, sandbars and fisherman, it can be a bit nerve racking at times.

I've been using Lee's County Park Marina launch. It's a zoo. The "assistants" are a bunch of grumpy old men who just bark orders, and the tires on the dock are so rotted that they leave black smears all over the hull.

This year I'm not going unless the water is dead calm, and its not a weekend.

The next boat he hits could be yours, try to get in touch with the owners of the damaged boat, who knows maybe the guy got in contact with them, if not at least the owners of the damaged boat will appreciate the gesture & in turn if they ever witness a damage to your boat they will surely tell you.

Next time you see the guy that hit the other boats,go talk with him with a couple of beers in hand, easy out what you saw, letting him know that you know.He might of made it good to the other boaters. If not,rat him out!
One thing you have to watch, your boat and others around you,get to know them and the people that own them.Maintence days at the boat is a good time with an icechest of beer and some time to talk to others. Its best to have more then two eyes out on your boat when it sliped.

I just slipped my 15' chris craft... and I am not the most experienced boater.. When i go thru the channels or back into my slip i go extra slow and extra careful... if I ever did hit another boat, I would have been embarrased, but I def. would fess up and not just keep going...

Btw , you guys thing 1100 is high for a slip, dont even ask what i paid for a 15' on long island NY right near the great south bay.
