1987 30ft Sea Ray twin 350's = 520hp at WOT 51.9mph by GPS.

4 people 3 coolers 150gal of gas that doesn't last long at that speed.

For charts, yes (unless your GPS accepts charts on removable media); for speed over ground, no.

1975 searay srv 193 18.2 ft just bought ran 5 times on water top speed with 2 adults and 2 kids 27 mph on boat speedo not sure what the boat should be at for top speed.

They are the same. Anything that floats will displace exactly it's weight in water.

29' Cobalt, twin VP 5.0 Gi's with DP drives and stainless propsets. Cruises at about 29 kts (33 mph), WOT 48 kts (55.2 mph) with three adults, 1/4 tank fuel, empty water/waste tanks. That was running in 2-3' chop and clocked on gps. She seems happiest in running in the slop...and as per other owners of twins, let's not talk about fuel consumption...

Update:

383 Stroker in. 63MPH GPS with a 1.65 alpha and 25 pitch prop.

It has more in it so im changing to a 1.5 upper to keep the rpm's in the power band.
Or a need more prop... But I alread had the upper.
Ill keep you posted.

8.2 Liter (502 c.i.) Mercruiser Magnum. ~475 HP. ~4950 dry weight. On GPS: ~60-65 depending on conditions/weight/current/trim/etc. Cruise speed is about 40-42 MPH.

23p Mirage Plus. Bravo 1.5

Cruising at 35-38 feels a little more comfortable though.

2002 Chaparral 200 SSe ? 20? with 4.3L VolvoPenta stern drive (190 hp), 14 ?? prop 19 pitch, 32 gallons of fuel ? 3 adults and 1 child. Never tried max with daughter on board, usually cruise at 25 mph with no effort. I will try it this Friday without the daughter and post again.

Recently bought the boat from a friend that claims 45-50 with trim up a little.


On a funnier note, it has been clocked going up Highway 59 behind my Avalanche at 73 mph in a 60 mph zone (Just came out of 65 zone), I don't think the cop that pulled me over allowed for the extra weight slowing down. HaHa! (I can laugh now, I already paid the ticket)

You guys tell me:

16.5 Lone Star Fleetwood "sport" 1961 model-Glass run about
Twin 1957 35 hp Johnsons, I'm in the rebuild stages and never had it out.
I'll gues 35-45 MPH but I dont expect a ton out of it, and I think that would be quite fast for small twins. Boat is rated for 90 HP and it did come with factory twins, just not these two.
Anyone care to guess?

Hydra sports 22 ocean skiff with 175hp Johnson with about 45 gallons of fuel a cooler 2 kids and the wife 52mph (GPS) at 5,300 rpm on a flat day.

2002 Larson 210 bowrider with 1986 Mercury XR2 150 HP Black Max and manual jack plate with 15X17 prop.
WOT = 42 MPH at 5500 RPM and cruises 30 MPH at 4200 RPM.
