My boat has no stereo and I was planning on buying one with an integrated ipod dock and some nice speakers. I dont have enough for what I want because I need to get a section of my floor replaced, so I am looking for some cheaper options. I am looking for Decent sound quality and a front usb jack so I can charge/listen to my ipod. I was going to buy the poly-planer on here but it is out of stock ( it is everywhere else too). I have been searching on the net and cam across some dual and pyle ones, has anyone had any experience with these?

Thanks

Re: Boat stereo with Usb input for ipod

I just put the Dual in my boat last year. 200 watt CD with front port. Even came with the cable to plug in an I-Pod, M3P, or other devices. Has a hand held remote I keep at the rear of the boat. Probably going to get the hard wired this year and install. Sounds really good, but I also have two amps behind it, that helps a lot:D.
Just remember to be conciderate of others at the sand bar:redface:.

Re: Boat stereo with Usb input for ipod

Just put in a non-marine unit this weekend. It's mounted forward in my cuddy though.
All my vehicle stereos have USB inputs on the front, I have a thumb drive for my daily driver, and one for the boat.

For ipod control you can't beat the Alpine units.
