D johns this has been are theory the whole time but we just couldnt figure out why the impeller wasnt working we jsut put a brand new one in... But the problem may be solved now... The impeller the first shop gave us was different from the new one we bought today.. the new one has about twice the surface area in veins... It has much lengthier veins(little more then twice the length)

Now you're on to something. Remember what I said about the need to "fill the housing"?<br />The impeller, when installed, will be sitting against the back of the housing, and be flush with the mounting surface on the other end. The vanes will be extended on about half the diameter, and curved on the other side-bottom if I remember correctly. Put it together, do the pump test in the lake, and if it looks good, go boating. Let us know how it works.

VMAX thats the plan right now.. We are replacing the stainless lining that the impeller rides in. We will take it to the lake and let it idle at the landing to see if it overheats. Last time we went out on the lake to see and when we came back in the boat got really hot (220+). Thanks alot everyone.

Stub, I think you've solved your problem. HUGE difference in water pumping ability between those 2 impellers. Let us know how it works out!

Well no soup on the new impeller infact we fried it. It turns out the smaller impeller is the right one after all. But we may have it figured out now(been saying that for 3 weeks). The water tube coming up from the air intake has a grommet at each end and the top grommet right at the supply for the impeller was sitting down the tube and was deformed. Meaning that when water when up the tube it jsut spilled back down. So we got some new grommets gasket and orings and are in the process of putting the lower unit back on. I'll let everyone now how it goes tomorow.
