I have a 1994 Chris Craft 197 Concept with a Volvo engine. I attempted to start the boat yesterday, and it would crank up, but it wouldn't start. I thought it was perhaps b/c I had the trim down in shallow water, so I raise the trim, and it started up. However, as I attempted to put it in gear and accelerate once out on the lake, the boat just died. Now, the boat will crank, but it won't start. I'm thinking that the problem could be just that I'm out of gas. The fuel gage reads 1/4 tank, but I never trust those things. But, the boat didn't sputter and die, it just died. Any suggestions???
