Guys

If I wanted to see two or three very large boat stores within an hour drive of Miami Airport, where would you suggest. Would like to see chartplotters, parts, accessories, smartcraft, outboards, chandlery etc?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Dave

A must for me is the Bass Pro Shop in Dania. You can go nuts in that place. About the size of a football (soccer) field. They have a couple restarants that serve exotic aquatic reptiles, snakes, and fish. On the property is the IFGA Hall of Fame, very interesting and informative. Have fun in Miami. Really want to see some nice gear?.......go to South Beach

Dave,

There are hundreds of places between Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Are you coming here to shop? If so, you should find everything you could ever need in this area. West Marine, Boaters World, Boatowners Warehouse, Capt. Ron's, Marine Warehouse, Charlies Locker....are some I have been to. I would take a trip to Islamorada in the Keys, hang around the marinas, always find something there you may have never seen done. Good or bad :D

Re: Boat Stores within an hour of Miami?

I'm coming to 'work' in Miami for almost a week (I have a business visa). So free time has to be focussed. Nothing I particularly need, but having been to tiny Boaters World's in the past, only to discover 30 minutes away there was one ten times the size, and then not having time to go, I thought I would ask. If I'm lucky I'll get one day free.

In fact it is entirely up to me, but I'm my own boss and achieving results is more important than boat shopping. So with guilt guiding me, I need to maximise my shopping/browsing!

Thanks

Dave
