I have a 16ft starcraft with a merc 115, when I come on plane the boat starts yawing or tilting to the left, at times quite severly. I have tryed balancing the weight in both seats and no matter what I have tryed I have still had this problem, hope to hear some ideas on curing this problem...

You are experiencing torque steer, GMedicdg.

An incorrect prop (overpropped) can cause this, but most commonly it is incorrect adjustment of the trim tab on the foot of your engine.

Good luck. :)

Re: Boat tilts right

Are you listing to the left or right, you heading says right and your copy says left? If it is left then it could be a torque list caused by the prop ( relatively common). Or as JB says look at the torque steering tab on the bottom of the cavitation plate.

Does the motor have a hydrofoil?
