Re: boat top help!
Those are typically called convertible tops. They snap to the windshield snaps and usually just have two bows with only one that goes all the way down to a hinge mount. I found one on eBay that worked on mine, although it does not have the rear flaps that snap to the hull like the one in your pics.
I like this kind because you can run at top speed if you want to and it will not tend to kite on you. They also almost always have the walk thru flap on zippers that you can open or close. They should also have the zippers at the back and sides for attaching to a Bimini top or even full camper canvas top sections. I have a center opening section in my windshield so I usually do not snap it across there in case we want to open it up for ventilation. Enough air comes in under that flap that we rarely ever open the windshield. This type of top also makes it quieter on the inside, not as much wind noise yet you can feel the wind in the back of the boat if you want to blow your hair back.
If you do not have windshield snaps you can get the ones that just snap into the top beam, they come in 3/4" and 7/8" sizes, maybe more. Those kind can move from side to side to match the snap spacing on your canvas.
The trick is knowing the width and height of the frame that will work on your boat. My boat has high gunwales, and they go even higher at the front where the windshield is. The frame pole on mine is very short, like 36" but when mounted the top is about 5'9" above the floor so plenty of room to walk under. It does taper down to the windshield but you have to go down into the cuddy right there anyway so it really works well for us. It acts just like a porch for the cuddy, makes a great deal of difference on the temps inside the boat.
Mine is not even wide enough really for my boat's windshield, but it works great anyway. I have mine mounted on the inside of the windshield because of the narower width, and when folded up when I lean it forward it rests across the top of the windshield and I can bunjee it down there for travel. I can also stow it leaning back while on the water.
This shows how mine is when deployed.....
Here it is stowed for while on the lake but not in use.....
This pic shows how it does not really fit my straight windshield, but again this thing works great for us......
