I never had a claim with BoatUS, but all in all was good to deal with.

We have towing through them since the coverage for that was pretty lame with Progressive and USAA.
I might look at switching all of the insurance to them.

I use progressive for about $110 a year. Never made a claim or had to. So not sure how they stand behind their policy...

I carry both towing and boat insurance through Boat US. Haven't had to make a claim, but I've heard only good things from those who have.

I had sizeable claim three years ago and they were easy to work with, paid the claim - I give them 2 thumbs up

Re: Boat us insurance

Depending on the value of you new boat and the coverage they offer, sounds like a decent premium. I just got my insurance on my 2011 Glastron GT 205, through United Marine for $278. It's agreed value ($30K) with $250 deductible and all of the "extra" coverages. Haven't had to file a claim, but the coverage and premium was the best I had found when shopping various insurance quotes.
