Re: boat weight
its a 2000 mercury cougar with a v6 but i have an aftermarket cold air intake and aftermarket dual exhaust call me hard headed but it seems like i should be able to pull it. i wont until i found out that i can but i dunno... thats why im askin... its a fast car sooooo.....
power means very little... my car has above 300hp/310 ft/lb of torque at the crank. Rated to tow 2000 pounds, and although I bump into that limit, I make sure I'm not intentionally above. I'm also driving an AWD vehicle with steel subframes. (with rear and center subframes bolted solid, tossed the rubber mounts)
anyway, front wheel drive, another negative. 100% unibody vehicle, big negative. (no STRONG area for hitch mounting.)
so the hull is 625, motor/rigging/fuel will be a couple hundred, lets say 400. Trailer is probably another 250 or so. So you would end up over that limit. If you are towing in town only with a ramp that isn't steep, you could pull it off. Any more and I wouldn't.
