Boat Year

Would anyone know what year a Delhi 14ft John Boat (Aluminum frame) would be with the hull number of 13976? I know around 1972 they made the standard HIC number 12 digits, but how do you find out boat manufacture year before that time?

all the documentation on those boats died when the mfgr went out of business. you may get lucky and find pictures.
