Lake Mojave, namely kathrines landing, seems boaters think they have the right to leave their ez-up frames and cheap plastic chairs on beaches to hold their spot until tomorrow or next weekend. I can see if you are out skiing, fishing, run to the marina, fine, but not overnight if you are not camping. I consider this poor boating etiquette. For those that are not familiar with Lake Mojave, Laughlin Nevada is less than 10 miles away, boaters either rent a slip or pull their boats and get a room at a casino, wanting to continue boating the next day, they will have a spot all picked out and reserved from the day or weekend before. I am searching my mind for ideas to combat this behavior. I thought of dragging the metal frames out and sinking them, but that is polluting. I thought of vandalizing the belongings, but they would just get abandoned and become an eyesore. None of the stuff is really worth taking. This year, I'm taking the spot, stacking the items left behind neatly to the side, and if nobody shows by the time i leave in the late afternoon, I'm going to haul it back and put it in a marina dumpster. After all it's my lake too. Am I out of line on this kind of thinking? any other suggestions?
