Does anybody know if the Boatinfo site has been down for some time? Is it coming back? I tried to access it using the link that Don put in the Must Have Mercruiser Information sticky back in the day, nothing comes up.

Well, a message comes up that says something like "would the owner of this site log in and contact us" or something like that. Which leads me to believe that the site may not be coming back.

Does anyone know if or where a guy might be able to download a genuine Mercuiser manual?

BT Doctur - not sure of the manual number, I'm not even sure what manual, , I'm guessing the engine manual.

What I would like to do is check throttle and shift linkage adjustment at the engine. This spring I had a transom kit installed, engine alignment, etc. The technician said that he also adjusted some linkage, , I don't remember which.
Since then, I can't for the life of me get the boat to smoothly come off plane if I throttle back slowly. I'll pull back, pull back to approx 3000-2500 rpm smoothly, pull back a little more and it's like it just cuts to about 1500 - 1000 rpm. Irritating as all a get out especially when you have people in the boat.

Prior to the work done this spring I could smoothly throttle back from any rpm all the way to idle speed and the boat responded smoothly. I need to get back to that.

The boat is a 1997 Lund 1950 Tyee, original engine was a 5.7 liter, current engine is a Mercury Re manufacturing 357, 4V.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.

checked out hosting site and they said they host the boatinfo site but would not give out any other info. might have been hacked or shut down.

Well that's a bummer! Worst case I did find a web site that I can purchase a download for like $14.00, that's not too bad.

Free is definitely better. I don't know where to get that manual free other than Boatinfo.

I have a Seeloc manual which I would use as a worst case, rather go by the real Merc manual if I can.

I was going to ask if someone had the manuals but didn't want to impose, didn't know if there was any legal stuff there or not.

As usual, this site is the best!

EDIT: Yes TyeeMan, there is a legal issue here. Unless a manufacturer gives a member permission to share their manuals, it violates copyright laws......
