Cute...

I hope he doesn't do that when you are not watching. Otherwise, you might end up in stupid human tricks. Not saying your kid will, but I probably would have done that.

Here's my 3-year-old son unhitching the trailer.

I showed him one time how to do it and he picked up how to hitch and unhitch it in about 10 seconds.

Next week I'm teaching him how to launch. :D

LOL yeah. Well, my wife is overprotective, so he won't be outside (and definitely won't be near the road) unless someone is around.

LOL... I assume this is your first child. :D

He will be everywhere you don't expect him to be, right when you don't expect him to be there.

Cool. Oil change should be next on the list.
Got a laugh outta' the first comment on YouTube. Props dad - he'll make a good boatin' buddy for a long time. :)

Even though you think he can do it, double check what he's done, and things that he might want to "help" you with.

Like any kid, I'd watch my dad prep the boat for launch, do this, do that. One time we were at a really steep launch ramp and I thought I'd help him by un-clipping the winch cable from the boat... He didn't notice that I "helped him" until the boat was skidding down the concrete launch ramp

Teaching him HOW to do it is one thing.

Teaching WHEN to do it and when NOT to do it is quite a different lesson! :D

I know where you and Fishrdan are coming from. I'm gong to have to triple-check everything before I go. . . luckily he's not strong enough to put down the wheel stand and he doesn't have the key to the lock. . . so for now I just have to make sure the wiring harness is connected and the chains aren't dangling the ground. hehehe

our sons started out much the same way and I've enjoyed them at every stage (don't want to go back to any of them ;) ) .... they now have kids of their own and its fun to watch things they were taught being passed on down the line
