gotta shovel out the boat this weekend so i can take it to the marina where i bought the boat .
to get the gps and transducer installed.
gonna cost me 150$ but if they screw it up its under warranty and this way i dont have to do any thinking.

Re: boating fever

Went to the Marina to check on the boat....they installed the new boot stripe I ordered and looks fantastic - I had to ask them not to email me the invoice so the boss at home doesn't rip my head off(spent way too much on stuff already).......Also, my wallet is hemorrhaging because I have nothing else to do but "CRUISE" the internet and buy stuff for the boat.

I'm sick I tell yeah....sick!

I am going to pick up my boat tomorrow to install my Lowrance with transducer. We installed my Dad's and my buddy's in about 30 minutes. Probably take it out Saturday to check it all out, but we will have to wear a light jacket. Its supposed to be down in the 60s.

Re: boating fever

well i would install the transducer myself but because the boat is new and to avoid voiding the warranty im gonna suck up the 150$ bill and let the marina where i bought it install the thing.
and i wont have to deal with the headache of installing it.
my buddy is letting me use his skidsteer to move the snow in the backyard just gonna cost me a box of beer and i get to help him drink it ;)

HAHA. Buddy came over to help install mine, although I was already pretty much finished when he arrived, and now he is helping me drink my beer, like I needed that help and smoke my cigars.

Re: boating fever

Fellas, I think this North American winter has done us all in. Everyone's biting at the bit and even got a recent splash I see.

I am happy to hear from the Great White Northerners the snow fall is up as frankly last few years lake levels have been hurting.

I'm just sayin to be on guard as we can make some wacked out decisions.....

Early February us boys get together to discuss our annual fish trip to Lake Lady Evelyn , just above Lake Temagami Ontario. We cook up some fish, grill some deer straps, talk the talk. We are all hooked on Canadian Whiskey and Canadian beers and the snow madness kind of crept up and made an appearance. Normally we go on trip 1st or second week of June but nooooo....this year we resolved to go earlier. So I check with our hosts and yup , they have an opening 2nd week of May so I book it and advise the boys. He asks did I happen to check on when the camp opens ... of course not so an email finds we will be in the first group of the year.

Well, a few changes in clothing, lures, an upgrade in Canadian liquids, a few more thermos's and we'll be good to go.

It will be fun to get everyone splashed and enjoying the summer.

Beauty way to go.

may starts getting really nice but if your not used to the cold dress warm and remember that the water takes a lot longer to warm up but the fish will still bite.

Re: boating fever

Do I really have to do this for you guys? Causes me great pain. The full moon last week. Was a beautiful week to be out in a boat. Temps in the 70's and 80's. Not so much yesterday and today. 46* now, and high in the 60's later. I may be in my cabin right now at the dock, but the heater is on and I'm staying tied up! :grumpy:
