I just came across this boat for you guys up north that can't enjoy boating all year long like us southerners can.

http://www.hottug.nl/hottug_en.htm

What is a HotTug? A wood-fired hot tub in which you can sail and a tugboat in which you can enjoy warm baths. With or without water the HotTug is a wide and stable boat for up to six to eight people. In the HotTug you can always enjoy yourself ... whatever the weather is. Relax steaming through the canal, harbor or a lake? You?re able to with the HotTug!

All is well in the winter til a wave breaks over it and chills your water. Brrrrrr. The stuff people come up with.

Wouldn't work for us people that are actually up NORTH! It would be great for those people who are just slightly north of florida... :D

Up here, it wouldn't be of much use, kind of hard to boat when the water is a little solid. We have sometime similar though, its called an ice house!

Yup, when you can drive a 3 ton pickup on top the water - a motor driven hottub isn't going to do much for you.

?
It was -12 last night. With the windchill it is -15 right now even though its warmed up to -8.
That thing would not work where I live as the water gets "hard". Like 3 feet of it.

"Warmed up to -8" I guess I won't cry about my high of 50 today, that would be almost tropical for you.

Just looking at that thing makes me want to P, if I sat in that thing for an hour the water would be solid yellow!

Anybody want to join me for a 3 hr. tour?

last thing i wanna do in cold weather is get wet, hot tube or not.
i'd try this

before that.. but that's just me... i'm cold blooded anyways... always cold............. think i might go boating tomorrow, high of 55*F, 7-12 mph sw, wsw winds estimated..... might be a shade cool unless my closed hardtop works well. if it's sunny, i'll get radiant heat... :D

Ziggy - saw the cat thread too: That is a pretty boat.

I found it interesting in the hot tub boat that almost all of the "submerged" photo's it was their electric drive system. Wonder how heavy that swamp monster is with that kinda' drive?
