Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

Good news, April is only about 12 weekends away!

Since the boat show season is getting ready to get cranked up, anybody planning on hitting the Baltimore boat show at the end of the month?

Happy New Year everyone. My new year didnt start off so good we went Geocaching New Years day and the wife slipped comming down a hill and broke her ankle in like 3 places. Its going to take Surgery and about 4-6 weeks before she will be able to put weight on it again. Personaly I think she was trying to get out of taking down the Christmas tree. Life is going to be waiting on her for the next month. Time to by net flix and wait till spring and the injuries heal. I hope 2011 gets better!

Alright!!!! We are back in business!!! My heartfelt thanks to the mods, JB in particular, for getting this thread back up and running. I like to think it has provided a lot of useful information and has had a hand in making some good connections that have turned into good friendships. I was sad when I saw it had been closed although I know that it was important enough to some of you to start another thread with the same topic in mind...and that made me feel better. :)

Just curious, why was it closed at all? Can anybody answer?

It was an accident. A stealthy spammer replied and quoted a post from early on in the thread and Skargo commented to the spammer about responding to a 3 year old post. When the spammer was banned Don S probably saw "3 year old post" and closed the thread like we typically do when a spammer or newbie drags up a really old thread. So basically, it was Skargo's fault as usual :p:p:D:D

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

JB gets all the credit

Sorry ezmobee, but he was the one who was online when I noticed the thread had been closed, so he's the one I pm'd asking about why. When I saw the thread had been reopened, I figured he had taken action to reopen it so I gave him the credit. He then sent me a PM'd basically saying I was asking the wrong guy....so now I'm figuring it was either you or Don who took care of the problem and even if it was Don who had to reopen it, it must've been you who brought the error to his attention...so my thanks to Ezmobee for getting this thread opened back up. lol

So um, I haven't done ANYTHING I had planned to do to my boat this winter yet. I'm so busy that I am even going to send out my 67' Lemans to get my 455 swapped in place of it's current 350.
Before you know it I will pay someone to do my oil changes...

Wow this thread has slowed down with the cold weather, so to revive it, is anybody going to the Baltimore boat show is this weekend?

I'll be there. In fact, I won an entry to the "Nautical Knowledge Competition" and can win a new Seadoo!
