Would you believe I just this week removed all my teak for cleaning? I still have to remove the carpet and fix the floor where the in floor cooler used to be.

You are ahead of me, Skargo. I won't see my girl until the 1st week of April. I'm in prime pool/hot tub selling season...Can't get off 2 days in a row unless I beg for it haha.

I hope to pull the cover back on the old girl this weekend. Want to get the oil changed, and get all the gear in the boat and ready to go. Maybe get out on the water in the next week or two, I hope. It's been a real long winter for me. Cabin fever is setting in. Need H2O!

My wife mentioned that Friday looks awfully nice for boating. I may take her up on that idea.

wise farmers never plant around MD until late april. There is always a freeze in april.
so you might have to re-winterize.

but it sure is tempting to take the boat out in weather like this.

Supposed to be 74 here Friday. I'll be on my boat...in my driveway, cleaning it!

Kind of a random question but I have random thoughts sometimes. Do any of you guys use twitter? Might be a quick way to get in touch with people for meetups over the summer. Maybe not, like I said just a random thought.

Mine is @CJ___ (that's 3 underscores, I probably should change it one day) if any of y'all use it.

every spring is like that now around here.
You have to wait damn near till june to get any warm weather.
We go straight from winter to summer. No spring or fall.

Last year we had quite a nice Spring. I hope this year is similar. I agree that normally you turn the heat off and A/C on in the same day.

its tought to not get lulled into a false sense of security on a warm march day. Because you know in your head that it will be freezing in 2 days. But your heart says, "hey, summer is here now" ... wrong!

Last week's warm weather got me looking forward to this weekend's camping trip. Of course now the temperature has dropped and we'll be sleeping out in 26 degree weather!

And in August we may be complaining about the heat.

Never will I ever complain again that it's too hot.

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

we'll i'm down in dallas, Tx right now, and it is HOT here.
highs in the 90s!

I'm already complaining about the heat here.

But the ac does not work in my truck.

Try sleeping in a truck with no ac, with the sun beating down on the cab and its 93 outside.

If it is this hot here in april, i don't want to be here in july. I drove from south bend, Indiana to new orleans. And it was snowing in Illonis, and it's the middle of summer down south.

I parked at a truck stop in new orleans that was 10 ft under water druring katrina. The dominoe's sugar plant was 6 ft under water. But they opened back up in 2 months. The truck stop opened back up 2 years later.
I really never thought that city would return, but they are back in business now.
