See following news link - we just got in from our Capt. Morgan sunset cruise a few minutes ago. By some dumb chance, we decided to venture into Frog Mortar Creek & anchor right outside the Parkside Marina (lots of wildlife to watch on the wooded boundary of Martin State Airport).

We noticed the police activity on the dock & the TV news remote truck antennas. Sadly, we were there at the time they carted away the 3 bodies.

Yesterday & today were the 2 hottest days of the season thus far, so we can only assume they were running a generator to keep the AC on. Obviously, NEVER do this in an enclosed cabin.

"Fire officials believe the three friends spent Sunday night on the brand new 30-foot cabin cruiser and are looking into whether the generator caused the carbon monoxide leak."

"The hatches were closed, the cabin was pretty well sealed up. That's always a problem if you have a leak because it means there's no fresh air that can get in to ventilate,"

"The boat did not have a carbon monoxide detector onboard. "

I wonder if nobody explained this to them?
