Re: boats depot

The demand is not very high for boats right now, and for the "must sell"
situations, they will usually have to sell at a low price to make a sale.

If you are fortunate to be able to buy a boat, then the circumstances are
in your favor, although It's always best to find out the details of what you're buying.

Yeah, but there is a difference in a low price, and that.

The above boat is a 1 year old boat, that new is about 50,000 dollars. Plus, it is a Ranger, which hold their value better than almost any other bass boat.

That one is a 30 - 35 thousand dollar craft. Heck, an 18 foot Ranger from 1985 in good condition sells for 5000 all day long around here. And, that is still with the 1985 electronics, which are outdated.

Some of the prices on page 4 and onward seem more reasonable.

However, to me, it screams out scam. The phone number and email address are not listed. Instead, they have a "click here to contact" link, and it asks for your name, surname, and email address. All other boat brokers I have seen don't want to loose a potential buyer, because they aren't willing to deal with the potential hassle of having to contact them through a web form, as opposed to whipping out a phone, and calling the number on the page.

Now, if someone proves this isn't a scam, I will have a Ranger in the driveway before new years. And a center console striper rig sitting beside not too long later.

Yep, found the same boat listed twice, at different prices, by a different seller, in different parts of the country. The pictures were different, but they were clearly taken at the same time. Guy at the helm was the same in both, bridge in background was exactly the same and so on.

I say scam.

Total Scam. Google it. The FBI is looking into it according to one post I read. The site is registered to some guy in Spain. It is one of those "send me your deposit and I'll ship you the boat" scams.

Stay clear!!!

Re: boats depot

it is a scam. one of the boats on there is in my garage. i own it and it is not for sale. if it were it would not be that cheap. it is worth over twice what they are asking. the registration numbers on the side are the same so there is not question that it is my boat. stay away from boats depot. i even sent an email to boats depot and no response. i sent a message to the person trying to sell my boat and he responded trying to sell it to me.

SCAM!!!
