Posted a problem back about the 1st of Oct.2002 with an Evinrude Ficht 225hp blown powerhead on a 26' Dusky.Ihad also read at that time omcfranks post, Oct.2 page16 about bombardier<br />Update:<br />Since that post all I can say about bombardier are good things. Apparently they must be going in the right direction.<br />Purchased the 2000 dusky and motorin July of this year, private sale.Previous owner went for his last boat ride the day before i was going to buy it.He blew the powerhead, 4 days left on warranty,Bombardier replaced it. I called bombardier and they said no written warranty,bought boat and motor anyway.Put about 30hrs. on new powerhead before it blew. Ma & Pa Evinrude shop calls Bombardier,tells them that shoddy work was done by previous shop, noticed several problems.Bombardier shipped brand new powerhead within one week and picked up the tab and stated that they did as a favor and no more warranty.<br />Solved no warranty problem, traded motor in for a 2003ficht with a three year warranty.<br />Happy Holidays!!!!
