Long story short I backed my skeg into my grandmas front bumper right through the license plate. I did not hit hard at all, and did not see any damage to the alpaha drive. Should I be safe and have it pressure tested? The skeg look like the only thing that hit and I moved the prop by hand and it looks normal.

Unless you really WHACKED it, it's probably fine.

Your drive is fine. You ruined your grandma's front bumper cover, though!

Re: Bone head mistake

I know a certain shed door with a nice hole in it due to a similar incident. At least I can blame mine on a faulty backing safety device . . . Mrs. QC was guiding me back

Go boating!!

Re: Bone head mistake

Thanks everyone. The reason I hit it is for one I was replacing the strut mounts in it and it was parked were my boat usually is. Two I had a piece of
4x4 sitting out that I back my tires to....but someone moved it and out the window went my after boating parking routine blah blah blah I even thought to myself right before I hit "man where is that block.....scrap" Thanks again.:D
