Just installed two new PCM motors in my Carver.
We put a ton of effort into deturmining which was standard and which was reverse but are not 100% sure of the outcome. We marched firing order from the old engines and have the trannys on the same side that they were removed from. Should be right but....
So I have finished the port motor, runs great, but tranny will not engage. Never had a bit of trouble with the trannys. Thought it may be wrong rotation as the pumps work in one direction.
So the tranny on the port engine has a "direction arrow" pointing out, to the port side showing clockwise rotation looking from the FRONT.
The engine rotates clockwise, looking from the FRONT to the belts. The same direction as the arrow on the tranny.
Is that correct?
