Boston Whaler 150 sport minor hull dings? how to fix?

I have some minor dings on the starboard side of my whaler. I am going to buy the gel coat right from Boston whaler, but how do I fix them. Do i need putty it only dinged through the gel coat. If anyone has tips and ways to do it let me know!!!
