Hi
Hoping someone can help me. I have twin 250 Johnsons around 1997 and cannot get spark on either. I have replace everything under the fly wheel with bran new components as well as the ignition switch. The cut out switch has also been disconnected but there is no spark. Both motors are doing exactly the same thing.

Would really appreciate any thoughts as i have ran out of ideas

How did these V-8 motors run for you last season ?----Any chance there is a hidden on / off switch.------Hard to believe both have the same issue.----Any testing done on ignition parts or you just threw parts at them ?

Is this boat new to you?
I feel like something simple is being over looked. MOB switch or something like that.
As well as the other questions asked what type of throttle controls does it have?

The starter is working and the batteries are new. I purchased the boat last year and the engines started. I have been refurbishing the inside and then tried to start them and had this problem. I haven’t checked fuses and I’m not sure what type of controls but it’s a basics up down lever for each engine. I haven’t tested any of the parts, just got the mechanic to install
When trying different things, if I disconnect the two power pack plugs and switch them around, I get spark but the engines splutter

I’m curious if you have done any troubleshooting and have found your problem?
Thx

Not sure what wiring set up you use, but maybe you need a common ground. Try a ground wire between the negative battery posts.
