Have 89 carver mariner 32 with a lot of blisters. What should I do, fix them one by one or sandblast bottom then fix & Barrier coat?

Are they blisters in paint or in gelcoat? Can you post any pictures?

Re: Bottom Blisters

Sandblasting and barrier coating has limited success, normally it's the laminate that has the blisters so removing the gel coat doesn't really help much. If just a barrier coat is applied, over time water will still get into the laminate and the blisters will return.

The best method is to remove all the blisters then re-glass the hull with epoxy or VE resin, this is costly and time consuming, but if don't want them to return it's the best method.

Blisters are more of a cosmetic problem, so a total and sure fire fix is not normally really needed, it just depends on how much they bother you.
