Bottom Leg Oil

I have a used 1980 Evinrude 9.9 and dont have a manual for it. I want to change the lower gear case oil. There is TypeC and also SAE90 which do I use for this motor.

Besides selecting a high quality oil, choose the one that is NOT meant for electric shift models. You presumably have a manual shift, and should buy the one that does not specify on the label that it is intended for electric shift models. That should be SAE90 (the other stuff is thinner).
