bottom line sidefinder

bought a used boat that had a bottom-line sidewinder tournament model 1250 fish finder installed--can find some info on the model 1200 but not the 1250--also looks like the company was bought out--does anyone know the story about this model

never mind, I found on line the exact owners manual for this unit

also the screen shows a speed indicator--does a fish finder show speed--have not put in water yet

Only if there is a little water wheel on the transducer, otherwise no it can't tell speed. I had one of those units some years back and liked it a lot. My boys were young at that time and it wasn't long before they discovered the bottom line units were downloaded from the factory with a shark fishing video game. When the fish were not biting it kept them busy.

finally found a old manual on the net and if this one works it should be all I need
