bottom paint and fresh glass

i have been thinking of getting a boat slip instead of trailering my boat. my question is should i paint the bottom of the boat where i fixed a hole in the hull before i leave it in the water. or will it be ok for the 1 1/2 months it would be at the slip before the end of boating season. and should i put anti- fouling paint on it too. i would rather wait until next season to do that.
