Bottom paint & outdrive paint

All I have to do is touch up some spots from the trailer rollers. I have Interlux Super XL. Is that a good one? What should I do for the outdrive paint?

The outdrive requires special antifouling paint for aluminum. Tri-lux is a good one, however it requires special primer. I have not had much luck with the spary cans of outdrive antifouling paint. If I were you I would make sure the outdrive is well painted (several coats of paint over a good aluminum primer) and then brush on two coats of Tri-Lux or other ablative antifouling paint for aluminum.

Ditto. Don't buy the spray cans. I've had several gum up on me. I think the paint is just too thick.

I worked at a Grady dealer here in Jersey and we used Interlux Primocon on the transom brackets on the Yamahas. I personally did not think the stuff worked all that well. On my own boat, I have a Honda and use Interlux Trilux and brush it on. Also use it on my trim tabs. I did not use any primer. I did scuff the tabs. It works well. No barnicles and minimal slime. Anyone try the aluminum spray for outdrives by Petit? I bought it but have not tried it yet.
