Am ready to put Aquaguard 181 Primer on the bottom of my boat and was wondering if that would be ok for a topside primer?
Am using Brightside Polyurethane for my topside paint

Maybe, maybe not, use what they recommend or live with the consequences.

Yea no, Aquaguard is water based, hence the "aqua" in the name ;)....it doesn't belong under poly or any other solvent based paints...an epoxy primer is what u want under a polyurethane....Akzo makes some good epoxy barrier coats for their Interlux lines, and epoxy primers for their Awlgrip/Awlcraft lines..

Thanks just what I wanted to know..
I ended up just doing the bottom with Aquaguard cause I didn't wanna take the chance. Glad I didnt:)
Thinking of using Primecon or Pre Kote for topside primer

Only 1 of those is recommended as primer for Brightsides
