Bought a new to me boat, now have new to me problems.

Hey all,

I recently purchase a 2000 Four Winns Horizon 210 with a Volvo Penta 5.7L GSi and Volvo SX out drive.

When I first launched the boat it would start and idle fine but as soon as I gave it any throttle it would die instantly. Put it in neutral it would fire back up and run just fine. If I didn't give it much throttle I could put around with it. Opened the hatch and found that a connector was unplugged on the throttle body. I called the mechanic that has serviced the boat since it was new and he said that that connector was the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and that if unplugged the boat would do exactly what it was doing. He also said that plugging it back in would fix that problem but that I would have idling issues until the computer re-learned the sensor. I plugged it in and sure enough the boat wouldn't even idle. I powered out in to the lake and rode around for a while (about an hour). The boat now idles, but it hunts from 0 to 700ish rpm (this is estimated) and stalls sporadically when it drops to the lower rpms at idle. It will also stall if put in to gear and left at that low throttle setting to just put around or dock etc...

Now, is my computer still re-learning the sensor, or is this a different issue? I don't have a scan tool yet, looking in to the Rinda Diacom software. The boat runs very well other than this idle issue.

The only other issue I have is that the tilt gauge says that the out drive is always in the up position. It doesn't move when I lower the out drive. Easy fix?

No one? Here's some more info. I just pulled these codes with a simple code reader.

DTC14 - Engine coolant temp sensor circuit low temp indicated.

DTC22 - Throttle Position sensor circuit signal too low

DTC23 - Intake Air Temp sensor circuit too low

DTC34 - Manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit signal voltage too low

DTC44 - Knock sensor circuit inactive

Do these codes tell any of you where I should start looking? Or point to one thing specifically?
