Bought an old boat, How do I get it registered?

I bought a 1962 Larson All-American 16.5 foot tri-hull boat from a guy in Huntsville, AL (where I live). All he gave me is a bill of sale, no previous registration or anything. The boat still has kentucky numbers on it. How would I go about registering it? The boat has no hull number. Is there a way to look up the prev. registration # and find out who has the certificate? Alabama doesnt require a title for the boat.<br /><br />Please help, a boat isnt as fun sitting in the yard!

You can apply for a lost registration. All you will need is the KY numbers on the side of the boat.
