bouncing oil pressure gauge

I have an oil pressure gauge that bounces all over the place when underway. When I am at idle or stopped, it works fine. Any ideas?

Install a mechanical gauge temporarily and see if it does the same.

Ayuh,... Sounds like Bad wiring.... Bad Ground somewhere maybe...??

Had a similar problem recently. Try checking the wire coming off the sender.

My oil pressure guage would bounce all over exactly like you described, didnt do it at idle. I found my issue was I wasnt using the right oil I had put in 10w30 it was too thin and would slosh around the pan and the pump wouldnt pick it up. did an oil change to what my manual called for (I think it was 20w50) and it stoped bouncing around
