'bout how far will a 9.9 mariner fuel pump pull fuel?

I have this 9.9. 2 stroke Mariner trolling motor hanging off the back of my boat.
Got a great deal on it, has the controls and all.
Works great pushing my boat @.
Problem I have is the fuel tank and motor are both on the port side and when she's sitting still, I got a list to port.
I'd LIKE to take the fuel tank and put it to starboard side and see if that'll help level her out at rest.
I'd say it'll be 6' across beam or so, add say 3' from deck to coaming, so, 9' pull.
Right now I have @ 5'-6' fuel line and it works great.
I replaced the fuel pump when I did the carb, (ethonol proof rubber now??), as well as the fuel lines.
Ideally, I'd like to slide the tank amidships so back another 5", but 14' might be too much!

That's the fun of a boat, no matter WHAT you do, it's a snowball effect. you ALWAYS have somehitng cooking for her in your head!!

I think you'll be fine.....motor/pump height (+head) above the tank/fuel level is your primary enemy here not necessarily the horizontal distance("how far away").

Once you get her primed, she should pump fuel 1' to 500' away from each other, if at the end of the day, each side has results of........the pump is say not much more than 2-3 ft above(+head) the fuel tank.

The level horizontal distance(and/or +head plus -head resulting in a net of zero) limitations has more to do with fiction factors i.e., connectors, elbows, wall structure and the like.

P[SUB]whp[/SUB] = q h sg / 3960

where....
P[SUB]whp[/SUB] = water horsepower (hp)
q = flow (gal/min)
h = head (ft)

sg = specific gravity

p = 0.433 h sg

where
p = pressure (psi)
h = head (ft)
sg = specific gravity

coolie-o!
That's rocket science!
I went up to Clayton and put the tank to the starboard side of the boat, (to try to "level" her out).
I have like 6' now, so it pulls nice, (I trolled for about 5 hours one day with the motor)!
It'll be the LAST time I troll with this boat and that set up!
I saw this 18' Grumman boat that needed me and I bought it!
The transom is way lower, more open back, so the tank can lay pretty much centered
Too bad this new boat has a oil injected Evanrude
