bow cover problems

I have an open bow 2008 larson 180 sport. The boat has the snap on bow and cockpit covers. The bow cover snaps on the under side of the windhield and the rest of the bow area and I have done that . However, I noticed that the water slopes back on the cover and drips of the windshield and it appears water is getting in the boat from the windshield area.

If you have a snap bow cover, what have you done to make sure water does not run back and get into the boat by the windshield? Thanks

Re: bow cover problems

i have the same setup in my boat, but I don't have carpet and it is a self bailing hull design so I don't worry about it at all. Have you tried putting a pole or something in the middle of the cover to give it tension, if it doesn't already have a pole?

Yes - I have the pole in the middle. Maybe on need to adjust. So you guys just snap on and put the poles up? Nothing else to do?

Personally, I don't do anything else, but my boat is in covered storage. If your boat drains well, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have the same problem. Same cover set up. I too have the pole and have just accepted it as something I have to live with. My material is Sumbrella. The water pools in the very corners of the cover next to the windshield.
