I have a 1977 Terry bass boat and I want to move the bow eye about 12 to 18 inches lower..There is nothing wrong with the eye itself except the placement of it now, The way it is now the eye is above the roller and It's right at the very top of the bow and it catches on the bow roller when I launch the boat.(the dock is so steep this is a major problem) I have moved the winch to every known position and it still catches on the roller.. What do I need to secure the new bow eye to the bow to make it hold..I have got to cut a hole in the front fishing deck which is not a problem I'm going to make it into another storage compartment(can never have to many compartments) but what will I need as far as material secure the eye strong enough to load hold if needed to winch the boat on the trailer. going to give it a try this weekend and wanted an heads up on the material list and hardware..I can still use the old bow eye as there is nothing wrong with it if I can get it off.
Thanks,
Jason
