I have a 83' Skeeter and I noticed to today that the left side of the front casting deck makes a crackling noise and flexes just a little bit. It's only a 16 ft. boat so the deck is only about 3 ft, is there anything I can do to strengthen it without replacing the whole floor?

sounds like the substructure is rotting. can you get under it? is the correct way. but i have seen 1/2 ply put over it, but that is really shade tree fix.

There is a small livewell right in front of the floor that I might be able to remove to access underneath the floor. If I can get under it what should I do?

I will check it out tonight and see what it looks like under there and take a couple pictures if I can get a good angle.
