Ya maybe Hooty, I run my motor with the cavitation plate 4 inches above keel, I have a prop that can handle the loose water.<br /><br />Of course this is only a "guess-along" but from what I have heard so far, I dont see why a high quality, high rake prop, will not help the situation alot.<br /><br />Is the boat design so poor that it cant be helped? Ya wont know till ya try, borrow a test prop from a dealer.<br /><br />If the prop gets you close, throw a little ballast in the stern. (Allular) I would not add ballast first, as this is a last resort only.<br /><br />One more thing, if at all possible, move the heavy stuff as far back as you can. Against the transom if possible.
