Bow stops for pontoon scissor trailer?

Hi all--- Have a question for those with the Hoosier or
scissor type pontoon trailers. A lot of the bunk style trailers
have handy guide ons and bow stops. Nothing like that on
my scissor trailer. I could get by without it, but does
anyone know of, or have you constructed, some kind of bow
stop for a scissor trailer? I usually drive onto the
trailer, and this would preclude me having to run up to the
bow to stop the boat or someone else stopping it in the
right place.

Thanks in advance!

really easy to make, just 2 pieces of 90 degree steel. On mine I also added a 2x4 running between them to help spread the load.

Hey---thanks! Would you happen to have a picture? Where did you get the metal from? I really appreciate it!

Re: Bow stops for pontoon scissor trailer?

Thought I'd follow up on this thread I started....I was able to buy the winch stand and winch for this scissor trailer directly from the manufacturer, and have to say that the customer service was great and the price was very reasonable. Knowing that it would retro fit was a real positive.

A fried welded on some bow stops, and I fitted them with some carpeted 2x4.

Here it is after being primed, but before trailer is repainted.
