Bowfishing for Sharks -- Long Ago

Back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, I did a little writing for outdoor publications. I lived in California, near Morro Bay, and started bowfishing for sharks in the tidal flats there.

Naturally, I wrote the process up and Western Outdoors published the article in their March, 1980 issue. While going through some old junk, I ran across the magazine, so I scanned the article and put it up on my blog, on its own page.

Believe it or not, I actually had dark hair back then. At the time the article appeared, quite a bunch of people showed up in their boats to try their luck with the sharks. For several years, it was pretty popular there.
