What's the point of this? I'm considering removing it because it's just in the way.

They complete Camper enclosures and deflect wind from the cockpit, if you don't like it remove it, I did on my last boat

like everything with boats, it all depends on where you are and how you boat. Here, I've taken them off and never missed them.

me i'd leave it. take it out and lose it in the garage or worse yet break it.

Re: Bowrider center windshield

Here in Massachusetts it can be cold some boating days. With my bowrider windshield closed and the bow cover snapped on, it is much warmer. Also, if you get caught in big water, it will help keep you dry. We take out 18 footer out in the Mount Hope Bay, which can get snotty at times.

i'm with the leave the center panel in place.
my boat just wouldn't be the same boat w/o the center panel. it'd be the difference of me being able to be full enclosed or not, if i didn't have the center panel.

can't see my center panel, but i assure you it's open. so i go from this.....

to this. my center panel slides up and down so the way it sits in the pic i can still get some air + get out of the boat that way. i can close it half way or almost closed. or full closed for full enclosure. my boat just wouldn't be the same w/o a center panel in place..

let alone the capability of hiding from the elements.. nice and dry inside on a pretty nasty day outside...

let alone the capabilities to shed the high seas if ya take one over the bow.

i think leave it in place... it just gives more options.... in my case particularly so.. but even so with any boat....

The most basic function ignoring all the other stuff is that it helps the people sitting on the sport seating bench seat from getting winded out thus stopping the complaining. 75% of the time the window is in the open position for us. I can't imagine not having it with some of the weather situations we have been in.

You have a beautiful boat.
