when I had smaller boats I always preferred a cuddy. The reasons are simple in the northwest the weather sometimes changes quickly and as mentioned before I like having a proper head.

I have a bowrider. Our boat is used for skiing, tubing, general pleasure and fishing in rivers and small inland lakes. On my current boat i don't have one yet, but my previous bowrider had a snap on bow cover for those occasional trips to bigger water.

It won't replace the bowrider for the above uses, but I do plan to go over and get my father's Starcraft Islander that has a small cuddy. If I can get it going again (hasn't run in probably 10 years) I will use it for fishing on Lake Michigan (The only "big" water near me). He put it away and health problems (severe arthritis) have prevented him from using it. He finally decided to let me have it. Just have to go get it.

Cuddy is the only way I will go I only have a 21' and it is so nice to have the front that is all dry regardless of the waves and dosen't matter if it would rain. I also have a 11 month old and a 9 year old that works great for them to lay in their. I don't care about having room for freinds and thier freinds they want to boat then buy one. They never want to pay for fuel so I would rather just not take them.

Love the cuddy. Keeps things dry and you're out of the elements if you want to be. I'm not trying to entertain the whole lake on my boat, just a few couples or some friends.
