Bracket for 78 Merc 1150

Hi was wondering if anybody would know where to get inside shroud brackets for a 1978 mercury 1150 (preferable in Canada). Motor had a slight mishap and the exisiting brackets are smashed to about 6 pieces.

Motor runs great other than that but needs a replacement bracket!

I am not familar with the term "inside Shroud Brackets". I am very familar with that motor. Do you mean upper cowling support?

possibly, I am very new to boating and I am just going by the name the service guy gave me...when you first take the shroud (is the shroud the called the cowl??) off, it's the black frame that surrounds the flywheel and goes down the back corners.

so on ebay I think I found the part...here is a picture:

does this look like it would be the right part? My serial number# 7087650 which makes it a 1977 I believe.

I think those are pretty common parts, but you need to match it up. A OB junkyard is best.

does anybody know where an OB junkyard is in Canada, close to the Winnipeg area?
