We are in brackish or salt-not ever strictly fresh water unfortunately.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard disc brakes are better from somewhere else along the way.

Electric brakes are nice, but keep in mind a couple of things when deciding. They cost more to install, and unlike surge brakes they only work with duly equipped tow vehicles. Not trying to talk you out of them, just wanted to help you consider all the angles.

Ya know, Incoop you are right, our Xterra is not wired for electric brakes so that would be out of the equation for me.
