Brand spankin new to boating. Engine I.D.

I just bought a boat from my brother and he doesn't have a clue about it. I'm Looking for any I.D. Markings on the outboard to identify it. I know that it is an mid seventies Merc, has 115 hp, is jet black with a small amount of blue trim. Does anybody know anything about this engine. Please let me know.

A photo might help, also a serial number will certainly help. Someone will know the answer.
